Description
Thinks he is an oriole!
This oriole feeder varies from a hummingbird feeder in several ways. The perch is larger, and farther from the ports. The ports are larger. The feeder is yellow/orange, not red. It has depressions in the lid for grape jelly. But hummingbirds use it, so I take it down when actively shooting hummingbirds, so I only have one nectar port on one feeder available for use.
This photo was taken at Duck Creek Campground in Utah, near Cedar City, and a good place to camp when visiting Cedar Breaks National Park. It's an excellent place to photograph many species of birds, including Broad-tailed hummingbirds. No orioles visited when I was there.
