a Mexican Jay takes a drink from a water bowl. In the desert, particularly, an available water supply is an excellent way to attract birds. It's also very good in National Parks, where bird feeding is not allowed.

This bird was photographed at Madera Canyon, near Green Valley and Tucson, Arizona.

I'm a photographer, though sometimes I experiment in other media. My mother was an artist, and on school holidays, when she had classes at the art museum, I got to spend entire days roaming the galleries of the Cincinnati Art Museum.
