Description
This is a composite image of a high speed flash of a female broadbill hummingbird, and the dramatic scenery of the desert in Capitol Reef National Park. The bird itself was photographed on the other side of the state at Duck Creek Campground, in Dixie National Forest, near Cedar City, Utah. Note the tiny feet and talons, which show up clearly in this image. The background is blurry in this version. I have another version of the same image with a sharp background, which you may or may not prefer.
