Thanks, Melissa. I really appreciate your comment, and it's quite true. Actually, I consider a lot of my panoramas like that. That's why I'm working on my own website presentation, on my own website. I consider the minimum acceptable THUMBNAIL to be 200 pixels tall by (however many pixels it takes). Likewise, the minimum size image for a medium resolution view should be 900 px tall by (however many images it takes.) To see this in action, check out my prototype code and panorama page at gregscott.com/pano.

Anyone viewing this needs to view the high rez (green square). The details on this panoramic are stunning when viewed larger and just can't be appreciated with the smaller image. Awesome shot.

My twin sister is an artist, and my father took up photography about the time I did, when I was in college. I'm also a former machine tool programmer, database analyst, and mathematics and physics teacher, and those things undoubtedly have impact on my perceptions as well, as do my Christian perspective and philosophy. My favorite photographic subjects are hummingbirds, other birds in flight, and scenic beauty as seen in wilderness places, the national parks, and rural locations. As my physical health and...
