Description
This image is a warped Kaleidoscopic Lattice. I was created by reflecting a photo of Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon near Page, Arizona, and rotating the reflection, shifting colors, copying the image into a repeated array, and finally warping that lattice. This was all done using photoshop. I worked at very high resolution, so this 17000x13263 image will print quite large.
This image is experimental in the sense that I am attempting to produce a significant variation from the "hypersymmetry" of the image prior to warping and cropping this image. When an image is perfectly symmetrical, it can be a bit too perfect, and they eye/mind can become bored in spite of lush detail and color. The crop and the distortions introduce variations in each repetition of the elements in the image pattern.
