I took this on California Highway 1, just below the town of Big Sur. There are many scenic pullouts along the road, and they are all on steep mountainsides that descend to the sea/beach. (very little beach.). On the day and location where I got this shot, a California Condor soared UP the canyon on my left, about 20 feet directly over me, and DOWN the canyon on my right. The who thing took about 2 seconds, and I couldn't see him before or after, and I couldn't grab the shot quickly enough.
