Description
I have often wondered about a solitary feather on the leading edge of each wing which stick out, usually above the wing. In this case, it is sticking out somewhat below the wing. I speculate that such a feather may serve as some sort of stall sensor to help a bird sense details of stall or other important flight characteristics. Does anyboy out there know? I'm curious.
