A broadtailed hummingbird in a composite with a salvia flower and background. The bird was photographed in Duck Creek Campground in Dixie National Forest near Cedar Breaks, Utah and Cedar Breaks National Park. This is a high speed flash photo, taken with an Olsen Ultra flash, on half power, with a flash duration of 1/30000 second.

Well, technically, it's not a capture. It's 3 different images, carefully layered. But it is a salvia, hummingbird flower that this broadtail hummer would actually visit. And it's one of my best composite images, I think.
