This hovering rufous hummingbird looks almost like he is just standing in midair. There are multiple highlights in the eye from multiple flashes. Caution, click on the eye before ordering. If it bothers you, I will make an edited copy where there is a single catch light in the eye, and perhaps replace this one.
Yes, you can clearly see the hummingbird's eyelashes (orbital feathers) in this photo, as you can in many of my hummingbird photos.

I'm a photographer, though sometimes I experiment in other media. My mother was an artist, and on school holidays, when she had classes at the art museum, I got to spend entire days roaming the galleries of the Cincinnati Art Museum. My twin sister is an artist, and my father took up photography about the time I did, when I was in college.
