Artist's Description

This simple Camellia tree flowers each February, in any weather, in the Metropolitan Atlanta region. I planted it in my front yard, to remind me of Valentine's Day, and to be sure I would always have a flower to give my loving wife. After a cold night, the petals and leaves were edged in frost. I digitally enhanced the color in the background, mainly, and softened the background detail, too.

All my future profits from the sales of this image will be donated to charity for victims of school violence, until I remove this notice. GJS 12/15/2012
