Description
The downy thigh feathers of the broadbill hummingbird are definitely the whitest on the bird. So much so that I had a lot of trouble not washing out the feather detail in that region. I had to darken that area of this photo quite a bit to preserve the feather detail in this image, thus the focus on that portion of the anatomy in the title to this image.
I hope your sense of humor is as whimsical as mine tends to be, or you might think I was being rude to this very fierce male figure of a bird.
