Description
You can see from the twist in the wing how the hummingbird must rotate the pitch (angle) of his wing between forward stroke and backward stroke in his wing motion as he hovers. The curve in the wing, clearly seen in the wing toward you, is what what must hapen at each end of the stroke to achieve this "sculling" motion in hovering flight.
